Semester at Leeds

I spent the spring semester of my junior year at the University of Leeds. Located close to Manchester, Leeds is a city roughly the size of Austin, Texas. I took classes in Thermodynamics, Transport Engineering (I learned to design a roundabout), Fourier Series Analysis, Film Music, and Web Design. I made some really great friends, and was part of the women’s rugby team and a fellowship group called Cafe Church. When I wasn’t in class, playing rugby, or hanging out with friends at the pub, I made side trips to Germany, Denmark, Spain and Norway. I even had the chance to visit the Thurleigh airfield where my grandfather was based in World War II -- an unforgettable opportunity.
